My Advice to Moms on Mother’s Day

mothers day poster

To all the moms out there, trying to hold it all together, feeling like you are drowning — this one’s for you.

You have the most important job in the world. Never forget that. Even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.

None of us really know what we’re doing. Motherhood doesn’t come with a manual — we’re all just figuring it out as we go.

Balance is a myth. You’ll always feel pulled in many directions. That’s the reality of working motherhood. Stop beating yourself up for it.

You can be a mom and make big, bold moves. You don’t have to, but you are capable. Never let someone else define your limits.

Stop comparing yourself to others. Someone else’s opinion of you is none of your business.

The time you invest in your family is something you’ll never regret. No accolade or promotion can replace it.

Motherhood is hard — and it can feel really lonely. Be kind to yourself. You’re doing better than you think.

If you’re worried you’re a good mom, you already are. That worry itself is love in action.

It’s okay not to be perfect. You will make mistakes. It’s how you handle them — and love past them — that matters.

Asking for help isn’t weakness. It’s strength. And it teaches your kids the same.

A village isn’t going to find you. You have to build it. Piece by piece.

There is no perfect playbook for motherhood. Just your heart, your gut, and your courage.

It’s okay to hate certain stages. That doesn’t make you a bad mom. It makes you honest.

The hurt, anxiety, and fierce love you have for your child is unmatched. It’s beautiful. And it’s hard. And that’s okay.

Taking care of yourself is part of the job. That’s a lesson your kids need too.

Some final words from an inspirational women, “The fastest way to break the cycle of perfectionism and become a fearless mother is to give up doing it perfectly — indeed to embrace uncertainty and imperfection.”
